Software Tool for Semantic Resources Allocation in Humanitarian Crises
Resource Allocation (RAlloc) is one of the most important tasks in organizing humanitarian response to humanitarian crises. It is not only that adequate and efficient RAlloc save lives and reduce damages caused by humanitarian crises, but RAlloc must be fast and efficient to save time and resources. Given that RAlloc is a type of a decision making process, it is expected that decision on RAlloc...
متن کاملCombining SWRL rules and OWL ontologies with Protégé OWL Plugin, Jess, and Racer
The presentation concerns a draft implementation with Protégé OWL Plugin for SWRL, based on the RDF concrete syntax of the SWRL proposal. A first prototype of a SWRL Tab Widget has been achieved. It is a bridge between Protégé OWL, Racer, and Jess, intended to help reasoning with SWRL rules combined with OWL ontologies. A small example is given including an OWL ontology representing the family ...
متن کاملSWRL2SPIN: A tool for transforming SWRL rule bases in OWL ontologies to object-oriented SPIN rules
SWRL is a semantic web rule language that combines OWL ontologies with Horn Logic rules of the RuleML family of rule languages, extending the set of OWL axioms to include Horn-like rules. Being supported by the Protégé ontology editor as well as by popular rule engines and ontology reasoners, such as Jess, Drools and Pellet, SWRL has become a very popular choice for developing rule-based applic...
متن کاملAutomapper: Relational Database Semantic Translation using OWL and SWRL
General purpose query interfaces to relational databases can expose vast amounts of content to the Semantic Web. In this paper, we discuss Automapper, a tool that automatically generates data source and mapping ontologies using OWL and SWRL. We also describe the use of these ontologies in our Semantic Distributed Query architecture, an implementation for mapping RDF queries to disparate data so...
متن کاملAdvancing Underutilized Crops Knowledge Using SWRL-enabled Ontologies - A survey and early experiment
Due to their powerful knowledge representation formalism and associated inference mechanisms, ontology-based approaches have been increasingly adopted to formally represent domain knowledge. We propose the use of ontologies to advance knowledge-sharing on underutilized crops and propose how to integrate those ontologies with rules for added expressiveness. We first present a survey on the use o...
